Academics

Cornerstone Christian Academy is dedicated to fulfilling the school's mission by providing excellence in all areas of its program including academics, arts, athletics and spiritual development.

The spiritual development of our students is a very important aspect of campus life and is nurtured through the classroom, chapel programs, retreats, mission trips, clubs, organizations, student council, spiritual emphasis week, service projects and other similar activities. Scripture is applied to every area of life both in the formal and informal curriculum.

Cornerstone Christian Academy is known for its high expectations in academics, character and discipline as the faculty works to meet the needs all students. The climate provides a positive and supportive environment where students can explore, learn, grow and use their skills to become independent learners and thinkers. CCA offers a healthy balance of academics, fine arts and athletic experiences. A thematic curriculum integrates Bible, language arts, science, math, music, physical education, Spanish, social studies, art and computer instruction. These classes provide students with the opportunity to develop a solid academic foundation along with positive study habits. Our teaching methods are designed to enhance problem solving, creativity, decision-making, critical thinking skills and the love of learning.

Students at CCA acquire skills that include responsibility, the love of learning, the development of spiritual and moral character, positive relationships and effective communication skills as they are prepared to be ambassadors for Christ in their community and around the world.

School Atmosphere

Each day teachers engage their students in an environment that is:

  • Nurturing, and accepting of the gifts, talents and differences between students
  • Challenging and creates an interest in and love of learning
  • Mindful of the needs of the whole child
  • Spiritually stimulating as children learn and apply God's Word in real life situations

Leadership Opportunities

Students are provided opportunities to develop leadership and a spirit for service through the following programs:

  • Student Mentoring
  • Safety Patrol
  • Service Projects

School Clubs

School clubs are available for students on a quarterly basis. These clubs are fun, challenging, and geared towards the interests and ability levels of specific groups of children. Sponsored by many faculty members, students and teachers enjoy getting to know one another in a less formal, more personal way.
